Statement: This painting depicts an angelic figure. The angel is holding a bouquet of flowers, and is pictured wearing robe painted with short energetic strokes. The angel is seen wearing a medical mask, as remembrance of covid. Above the angelic figure are floral elements painted with swirling strokes and stippling. The artwork is highly textured and it shares the qualities of both impressionism and pointillism. There is a use of thick impasto like brushstrokes, and swirls; creating a sense of movement. The palette consists of pinks, blues, and yellows. The intention behind this piece was commemorate the frontline workers who had sacrificed their health and wellbeing to help those who had fallen sick during the covid 19 pandemic.
