The Hand’s that serve the Eternal

Statement: This artwork is a depiction of the divine devotion between Hanuman and Bhagwan Shri Ram. Hanuman bows not to just a man, but to the Supreme; Brahman in human form. Just as Christ is seen as God incarnate within Catholicism and Christian traditions, Lord Ram is seen as the embodiment of the formless Absolute within Sanatani worldview. Hanuman’s devotion represents our soul’s longing to merge with the divine through true selfless service of humility and unwavering love. Within this embrace, Hanuman finds the highest truth. Both Ram and Hanuman are not just worshiped in reverence of their divine nature, but for their commitment to Dharma; righteousness with the actions and the choices they have done. One as the ideal man and one as the ideal servant and knower of truth. Soft lines and a muted pastel floral colour palette make up this illustration, the palette is invocative warmth and (leela). This is not to be seen as merely an illustration of epic mythological characters, but as a reflection of a timeless truth. It is an offering of devotion and is a reminder that the ultimate truth is only realized through absolute love, love that sees the divine in form, yet knows it to be formless.
