Harihara Leela

Program: Procreate

Statement: This illustration depicts both Vishnu (Hari) and Shiva (Hara) as one entity . It’s drawn with lose lines and cross — hatching, and the use of pastel colours. Aspects of Lord Shiva are shown through the incorporation of Vasuki, the king of the Naga’s. Further pushing the aspects of Shiva is Maa Ganga wrapped in the hair of Harihara. At the bottom of the image, there is a Shiva lingam a formless representation of Lord Shiva, as well as imagery of flower pedals being offered to the Lingam. At the top right of the image a peacock is shown which is an animal associated with Lord Vishnu. The Holy trinity in its entirety is shown, with the depiction of Lord Brahma sprouting from the head of Harhara, showing God’s leela (divine play) in the cycle of the creation and destruction of our universe.
